What is the course like?
The WAR is tough and challenging for all fitness levels. The 5k WAR includes most of the obstacles from the 10k WAR but the route is shorter. The 20k & 10k WAR will test you to your limits!
How fit do I need to be?
This depends on how quickly you want to complete the course. If you are unsure of your fitness we recommend the 5k route, and you can run or walk the distance. We would recommend that you have run 2 miles before at some point. The 10k course is a lot tougher than the 5k and you must be fit to run this race!
What if I can’t get over the obstacles?
All of our obstacles are manned with instructor to give you a little hand if needed. If you don’t want to or unable to complete an obstacle, you can simply go around it.
What do I need to bring with me on race day?
On the day you’ll need to bring your confirmation email with you, suitable clothing and footwear to run the race and we also recommend bringing a change of clothes and a towel as you’re going to get wet and muddy!
Are there showers?
No, there are no showers at the event.
Is there parking?
Yes, parking is £5 per car.
Can I enter WAR on the day?
Yes you can. The price on the day is £50 or £30 for juniors.
Can I change my wave?
Can I sell my ticket to someone else?
No, we cannot change names of participants. If you cannot attend the race we can transfer your booking to the next race later in the year.
Do I have to sign a waiver to participate?
Yes – you will be required to sign a waiver on our registration page for all our events in which you acknowledge that you will be taking part in potentially dangerous event with a risk of personal injury.
Can I run for charity?
Yes of course! We recommend setting up a Just Giving page. If you are running for charity, please let us know and we will mention you on our social media pages.
When you sign up for the WAR you’ll automatically be covered by our personal injury insurance for the event.
Where can I store my valuables?
We recommend that you only bring essential items with you. There will be a key drop area where you can leave your keys while you are running.
Medical support teams will be on site and instructors/ marshals will be situated all around the course. There is also an ambulance on site should it be needed. Should you become injured or ill, we will get you to the first aid station as quickly as possible. You must notify us before you take part in the run if there is a pre-existing injury or condition that we should be aware of.
We encourage spectators to join us for the fun. There will be designated viewing areas, a live DJ and fun events going on all day. Spectators may view the race for free but they are at their own risk. Please note dogs are not allowed on site except for guide dogs.
What do I get when I finish the WAR
You will be honored with a WAR medal.
How do I receive my 10th entry for free?
